I'm a photographer now. Too much of the work I have submitted here has been such to still label myself as a "graphic designer". Now I will simply be a Photographer with a propensity towards Graphic Design. Do we have some kind of icon for that? Someone needs to make one.

This summer has been very interesting so far. I've been interning at Temerlin McClain, an advertising agency based here in my hometown of Dallas, Texas. The experience has definitely been worthwhile, even something of an adventure. However, the large ambitious corporate environment seems to hold little for me, at least at this current junction.

I love design. I want to eat, sleep, dream, and breath it. To spare you any of the boring details, agency life for the past two months has jaded me somewhat. Or at least has disillusioned me to facts that I'm not sure if I want to be disillusioned to quite yet. Don't get me wrong. Temerlin is a fantastic agency. The designers here are top-notch, and cool as shit to boot. It's just not what I had in mind. I like my fantasy of the red-tape free work environment that focuses more on design rather than efficiency or client mandates. Granted, this is only one agency out of many, but first impressions are strong ones.
